Don't Miss Christmas.

This . . .
Christmas Eve Gift!
.
That . . .
It's Saturday morning - Christmas Eve and tomorrow is Christmas Day - Oh Boy.
For all of you who thought Christmas was on Tuesday, don't be deceived. I talked to God and tomorrow is the day. That means most of you are way less ready than you thought.
.
This is That . . .
Christmas Morning. Have all the doors open, the air conditioner is on, and starting a fire in the fireplace. Went caroling at the Leonards last night and they gave Eli a life size teddy Bear. We have a life size Tiger looking on as well, now all we need is a Lion - Oh, My!
Grandma is cooking the fried mush, Elliott is wrapping gifts, Amy is feeding Lucy, Taylor is making balloon creatures, Tarah is going back and forth from the open doors to the fire, Lee Ann is wrapped up in a blanket on the couch, Taylor is cooking stuff and taking pictures, Eli is enjoying his balloon hat, Lucy is all spit up and happy, Nathan just sneezed and ran off to find a kleenex, Brian won brother-in-law of the year last night, Grandma is still cooking mush, Jeanette is loafing in an easy chair, the Mashburn Singers CD (Elliott) is playing - wow!, and the gifts are waiting under the tree.

50 million Babies

This . . .
Our cat Jasper just spent ten minutes cleaning his face and ears. The thing is, he has pine straw stuck to his rear end.
What a Bullwinkle.
.
That . . .
I finished getting the nativity scene up in the front yard today, complete with a star up high in a tree. I figured a great way to get the star up would be to tie a monkey wrench on the end of a rope, and then throw the wrench over a branch, and then tie the star to the other end, and then hoist it up and tie it off.
What a great idea!
I made a perfect throw on the very first try, only after the wrench went over the limb it kept going and swung around the branch again. Stuck. So I decided to tie another wrench on to the other end and throw it over in the other direction to set the first wrench free. That looked like it was going to work, but the loop caught around the first wrench and made a knot. Really stuck.
Well anyway, this years nativity has a star AND a monkey wrench up in the tree. Turns out that on that night long ago, the wiseman couldn't figure out which star to follow until they saw a wrench tied to one of them. Isn't God amazing?

On 9/11 there were 2,974 fatalities, not including the 19 hijackers.
It was horrible.
.
In the US, one baby dies in its mother's womb by abortion every twenty seconds. That's 180 every hour; 4,320 every day; 129,600 every month; one million five hundred fifty five thousand two hundred every year. World wide, it's 50 million every year or three every two seconds.
That is in just ONE year.

Merry Christmas! and Hallelujah!

This . . .
My son Elliott made this video and posted it on youtube last Christmas. I thought it would be good to get it out and share it again, so here it is.

We own land in Lake Village and haven't sold a lot in five years.
Kevin Johnson called me today and said,
"I have good news and good news. I have the money and the go ahead and I want to buy two lots over in Lakewood Estates. When can I pay you the money and get the deed to my lots?"
I love this guy.

This is That . . .
And I love my Father in heaven who provides all that I need according to his riches in heaven thru Christ Jesus.
Phillipeans 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The Message Bible says:
You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need.

Make His Paths Straight

This . . .
Our Christmas tree has been in the corner for a couple of days without lights or decorations. I had decided I liked it like that - bare. Really down to earth and even marvelously unique in a simple way. Mom didn't fall for it even a little bit, so now the tree has lights and tomorrow an abundance of decorations, I'm sure.
.
That . . .
I have been thinking about how absolutely shocked we used to be when when a guy would just up and shoot some people. It seems now that our response is more like, "Oh, somebody shot somebody again." We still hate it, but we're just not very surprised or upset.
And it's not just people shooting each other, sins of all kind just don't seem to grip us like they used to.
I don't need to name them, you can make your own list.
This is particularly dangerous if it is us doing the sinning and we don't feel very bad about it. This is not good.
Slap us God. Wake us up.

Matthew 3
1 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:
“ The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘ Prepare the way of the LORD;
Make His paths straight.’”
.
Joel 2
12 “ Now, therefore,” says the LORD,
“ Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the LORD your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.

Mike Huckabee for President

This . . .
While checking my mail at Yahoo, this is the 23rd day in a row that I have been the 10,000th visitor to some site making me a huge winner of some kind! And this is NO JOKE!
.
Got an email from clasmates.com telling me I was popular. That's nice to know.
.
That . . .
Another great quote from my mother, "The democrats really blew it when they chose their presidential candidates."
.
This is That . . .
I am endorsing Mike Huckabee for president. This will be a huge boost to his campaign . . . for sure. It's me and Chuck.
.
The video below is about 40 minutes long. Just skip a meal, turn off Desperate Housewives, and watch it.

The Terrific Twos

This . . .
Today is my grandson Elijah's birthday. Spent last night at his house. Got up this morning, fed my granddaughter Lucy a bottle, ate cereal with Elijah and watched Toy Story Two, had a cup of coffee and then took a nap, all before I got up.
Then I picked out a nice blue towel and took a shower. When I unfolded the towel, I realized it had a picture of Pooh Bear, a picture of Tigger, a little hood, and the words Baby Boy in blue.
Cool.
.
That . . .
Eli is two, but NOT terrible.
It's the wonderful ones, the terrific twos, the tremendous threes, the fabulous fours, fantastic fives, super sixes, the sensational sevens, extatic eights, the nearly perfect nines, and the stupendous tens. It's all good.
.
This is That . . .
Happy Birthday Elijah. You are terrific!
I pray for you . . . eternal life - to infinity, and beyond.
